Fleece Tubes

A cozy, snuggly place for your chinchilla to hide or snooze.  Securely attaches to the side or top of the cage with supplied hardware.  Made with your choice of available fleece from the color and pattern selection page.  The fleece cover is easily removable for laundering.  Also great for rats, degus, ferrets, birds and other critters that like to hide and tunnel.  Available in two sizes!
***For safety, we recommend there be a shelf/perch close to either end of the tube so your pet doesn't fall.

Shelves and Ledges
All of our wooden accessories are made from kiln-dried pine lumber and non-toxic wood glue.  No mechanical fasteners (nails, screws, etc.) are used in our products, except for the mounting hardware.

Ledges

Shelves

Reasonably-priced, custom-sized shelving available in a variety of widths to suit your specific needs.  Each shelf comes complete with washers and wing nuts for quick, tool-free installation!  All shelves are made of 3/4" thick untreated kiln-dried pine lumber.

Base cost for all of our shelves is $10.00 plus an additional charge per inch for the width and length of shelf you'd like.  Base price includes all necessary mounting hardware.  Please be sure measurements are made with a tape measure of the INSIDE of your cage where the shelving will go, to insure proper fit.

Fractions of an inch, please round up to the next full inch for pricing.

Example shelves:
7-1/4" wide, 30" long:  $3.60 (30 x .12) + $10.00 = $13.60

Optional:  Add $3.00 per shelf for edging along one long side and two ends.  Our edging is approximately 1-1/4" high.

Wooden Houses

Tired of constantly replacing your chinchilla's house because it's coming apart?  Worried that the nails and other metal fasteners used in houses sold at pet stores will injure your chin when exposed by chewing?  Not sure if the houses available at pet stores are even made of safe materials?  Give our houses a try!  Thick and durably built, our houses contain only 3/4" thick, chin-safe untreated, kiln-dried pine and non-toxic wood glue.  There are no metal fasteners for your chin to injure itself on, and our houses LAST!  Available in three styles to suit a variety of tastes and needs.

Basic House

The Basic House measures 6" high x 11" wide x 8" deep.  The 3" x 4-1/2" doorway can be placed on either the left side (as shown), the right side or in the center, as can the 3-1/2" hole in the roof (or you can omit the hole in the roof if you'd like).  Please specify what options you would like on the house.  If you do not specify, you will receive the standard layout, which is shown below.

Corner House

The Corner House is 6" high, 9" deep on each straight side, and 10" from the back corner to the center front.  The hole in the roof as well as the doorway hole are 3-1/2" diameter, to accommodate even larger-sized chinchillas.  The doorway hole can be placed on the left side (as shown), the right side or in the center.  Please specify what options you would like on the house.  If you do not specify, you will receive the standard layout, which is shown below.  
Note:  The Corner House does not come standard with a floor (as shown below).  It is available for an additional charge of $3.00.

Duplex House

The Duplex House stands 15-1/2" high, 11" wide and is 8" deep (not including the 3-1/2" - 4" porch on the second level).  Both sides of the house, on both levels feature "CHINdows", chinchilla-shaped holes for peeking out!  These are the same design as the cutout on the vertical hay box.  There is a 3-1/2" diameter hole in the center of the floor of the second level (the roof of the lower level), as well as one in the left rear corner of the roof of the structure, so the chin can go from level to level.  The doorway openings are 3" x 4-1/2".  This house comes with hardware to attach it to the cage so it can't tip over, causing injury.  This is an ideal cage item for a pair of chins, enough room for snuggling together on one level, but a second place if they need some "me time".  This house would also make a great out of cage playtime item (request it without hardware for this purpose)!
